The Hilton
Hotel Leisure
Project Overview
A 9 level, 120 room boutique Hotel involving 3 separate architectural practices, 2 of which were based overseas.
The work involved retaining an existing 1930's wharf shed facade and rebuilding a Hotel with management of $4.3M of PSUMS.
There were strict design control budgets to maintain and quality detail to co-ordinate in public hotel areas and restaurants.
The QS responsibilities included estimating undesigned works, cost plan management, split subcontract packages, chairing weekly site meetings, working nights and weekends and preparing information for arbitration.
This is New Zealand's first Hilton Hotel.
